Do you want to do more of your own bike maintenance? Or, maybe, just have the information and skills if you are on a trip and need to make adjustments on your bike. This is what this clinic is all about.
Hydraulic brakes DO need maintenance like other parts on bikes. How much depends a lot on how you use the brakes and the conditions that you are riding in. Many times, hydraulic brakes just need oil replacement about once a year. Sometimes, however, conditions might burn up your brake fluid faster or, you develop an air bubble in your brake line. Both of these reduce the effectiveness of your braking power. This is when you may need to consider bleeding your brakes.
This clinic is specific to SRAM Hydraulic brakes. We’ll go over general bleed procedures, in addition to the specifics of resetting brake pads and adjusting the brake calipers. Everyone gets hands-on experience on their own bike and leaves with their own SRAM Brake Bleed kit AND a fresh bleed on their brakes.
